Windsor farm shop classic car show

2nd May 2010

I only heard about this meet on Friday at work when a workmate saw it in the Windsor local paper, but as I was already going to the show at Beaconsfield I didn’t think I’d get there. As things turned out I did due to the very wet weather at Beaconsfield. I think that had I known how quiet the Beaconsfield event was going to be, I would’ve gone to the Windsor one instead.
They had a couple of Routemaster double decker buses there doing a little round trip from the farm to the town centre. Even though I got there late there were still some interesting vehicles on display. A couple of Jags turned up after me and a silver MG as I was leaving. There were several ex magazine feature rods too. My personal favourite car was the Ford V6 powered Mini, while my “ I’ve got a few bob to spend on my toys” award went to the guy with the racing Jag. No autojumble unless they’d gone before I arrived and the only non farm stall I noticed was a book stall with the author present. I can’t remember his name but it was a saloon car driver.
Not a bad little get-together, especially as I hadn’t actually planned to go.
