Had a ride down to this event this afternoon, in the grounds of Highcliffe Castle, on the Dorset coast, not far from Christchurch.
There was a very good turnout of classic cars and the castle grounds were full of vehicles. The weather was kind and the event was well supported by the locals plus visitors from further afield. Even though this venue is only a few miles from home for me, I haven’t been there very often and it was nice to see it looking so well kept. There weren't any stalls but there was the Castle's cafe and ice-cream parlour and there wasn't any formal entertainment, but visitor Geoff Hudspith entertained us by demonstrating his steam gramaphone with some harmonic 78s.
At the finishing time of 3 pm, there were still plenty of visitors and most of the classic cars were still on site.
A good afternoon in pleasant surroundings.
