I'm Andy's little sister, Louise. My husband, Paul, 3 year old son, Freddie & I have recently, (four weeks ago!), emigrated to High River, Alberta, Canada. We’ve been trying to get out and about, sightseeing in our adoptive country and have posted back to Andy some pictures that I thought might be of interest. This is Kane’s Harley Diner - situated in Inglewood - a "hip" suburb of the city of Calgary. Inglewood itself is an interesting street of antiques, furniture and oddity shops, plus cafes and deli's - great for browsing on a free afternoon. Kane’s Harley Diner is on the main Inglewood street (9th Avenue) and is situated in the original Harley Davidson shop. It's a 1950's style diner, decorated in Harley colours. Unfortunately the day we went, the service was quite bad and we waited nearly an hour for our food - and then were told they didn't have any cutlery!! However, the food was excellent and I would definitely give it a second chance. It's worth noting we went on a public holiday when a lot of other local eateries were closed and I don’t think they were expecting to be quite so busy! Definitely recommended would be the Burgers and the Macaroni Cheese! The clientele was an interesting mix of bikers and locals with the odd tourist thrown in for good measure! Behind the diner, in the back car park is the new Harley Davidson dealership - a bright mix of chrome and sparkly paintwork that doesn't really mean very much to me, but looked impressive! The people were very friendly and had no problem with us taking pictures and browsing!
