This was our first rally & went very well. The venue had all the facilities we needed on site, with a good restaurant for breakfasts as well as the catering vans. We were blessed with excellent weather, which encouraged people to come & join us for the weekend. We had a great turn out of over 300 peeps.
I was marshalling all weekend so didn’t get to see the bands. I’m told they went down a storm though. We learnt a lot of lessons, in particular, not to let anyone in without paying! A lot of riders arrived, disappeared into the camping field and never came out again and did not pay. We also want more toilets this year with one for ladies only.
All in all though, it was a great success -most of the other clubs who attended were very impressed. We’re already planning next year’s.
