SHABBY’S STREETFIGHTER
Once I had the shape and style I was after I called a very good mate called Sparky Steve to create a one-off wiring loom -he did a great job. The paint was handled by “Paintwerx” in Immingham, Lincolnshire and what great brothers they are. They listened to all my ideas and added some of their own too. The results are just what I was looking for. Stainless nuts, bolts and washers were fitted throughout and there she is, my streetfighter.

I’ve owned my Gixxer for about 6 years now. She was all black when I first got her -everything was black. So I painted her black and kawasaki green -don't ask! I began her latest incarnation by first de-coating the frame, then I met a man called Paul who owns “Diverse Motorcycles” in Barnsley, Yorkshire and we hit it off straight away. He sorted the seat conversion, headlight and branch pipe among other bits. A great guy. I also had help with other parts from my long time mate The Doctor, (Rick). I moved the tap on the water cooled Gixxer tank and re-worked the fixing brackets, then Rick helped me with the risers. I modded the standard yokes and coated them, then I altered the rear-sets before coating them too. The rear shock’s standard, but it’s been stripped, coated, polished and chromed. “Pro Shock” re-oiled, re-gassed & rebuilt it for me.
